think of all the little white suburban kids out there looking up to black rappers. think of how much the lexicon of current day frat boys has been formed by hip hop. there’s a few black men in this country that have a LOT of (unrealized?) power over future generations of americans. could malcolm x have ever envisoned this kind of direct influence? or huey or bobby seale? imagine IF - rather than selling hedonism back to the establishment - a few black men in a certain position took it upon themselves to….
